Golf Team Rules
Why: Everything needs to have a purpose to make it worth while. I believe that all sports require everyone to adhere to the rules that govern that sport or else you aren't playing that actual sport, rather an adaptation to what was intended. This cannot be more important in the game of Golf. Golf is unique in that its players are also the refs. With this said, throughout the times that your child is practicing or playing golf with Battle Mountain, rules will be followed to reflect this idea. This will allow golfers to not only practice the game, but to also practice the rules and respect of the game of Golf.

Practice Rules:
-Early is on time, We will always meet in the cafeteria @ 3:50 before we travel to the range or simulator room. Please be sure to arrive at practice, Please text or email if something happens
- Students will work with their teammates and me to coordinate rides to and from the driving range depending on which range we are attending that day.
-Dress for play. Boys: Collared shirts, khaki shorts or pants. Girls: Collared shirts, sleeveless golf shirts or athletic shirt when in simulator room and golf bottoms. NO JEANS, NO HOODIES, . Typical golf attire. If you need help with this, please let me know.
-Have a tee, ball marker and ball mark tool in your pocket at ALL TIMES! You need to mark your ball on the putting green, you need to tee your ball up on every hole. Be prepared at practice so that you are prepared on the course.
-Have your own clubs. IF you need clubs please let me know so I can assist. BMHS has multiple sets of clubs that golfers can borrow for the season.

Travel Rules:
-You must be eligible with grades and attendance to travel to tournaments.
-You cannot drive yourself to a tournament unless plans have been made beforehand with both the AD and Coach Hoevel.(This is a case by case basis and is a last resort)
-Please bring money for lunch after tournaments. Depending on our fundraising efforts, the golf team can pay for these lunches.
-If a parent comes to a tournament and you want to go home with them, you must sign out with the coach that is present.

Tournament Rules:
-All tournament rules are governed by CHSAA and the BMHS handbook.
-All golfers MUST wear their own shirt that is assigned by Coach with a Battle Mountain Logo. Shirts from other sports will not be allowed and will force the golfer to withdrawal from that tournament.
-Golfers must have their own equipment. (BMHS can provide golf balls and clubs if needed)
-Golfer must be eligible through the school.

Simulator Room Rules:
This room is a privilege and has a lot of expensive items within it. A coach must be in the room with golfers at all times. The simulator box itself is property of Coach Hoevel, not the school. Everything else is property of the school. Either way the Skytrak is $2000, the Computer+software is $1600+, Screen is $500+, the simulator room is $3000+, putting green is $450 and the clubs and balls could probably total over $2000-$4000. It is a lot to keep track of and is a great benefit to have for any golf team. Please respect everything within the room to get the most out of it.
