Christopher Hoevel (Head coach)
The mountains called and I answered. I have lived and worked in the beautiful Vail Valley for 7 years. Eagle County Schools is the first district I have ever applied for and only one I have ever worked for. It is here where I have become the competent and effective teacher and coach I am today. I grew up in St. Louis Missouri where I graduated from parkway south high school. During my time there I was an honors student and was able to make it to back to back state final 4's with the basketball program as a point guard. I also played football, baseball and ran track. I then moved onto Columbia Missouri where I obtained my Undergraduate and Masters Degrees in Curriculum and Development at the University of Missouri. I contributed 1 year to the Missouri Tigers D-1 Football team as a developmental player as well. Teaching and Coaching is in my D.N.A. For 17 years I have been working with students or developing athletes in some capacity. Mentoring and development is an incredibly important responsibility and one I feel privileged to get the opportunity to do.

As a golfer I have been avid about the game since 3rd grade. My first time out my dad took me to our local municipal course. I remember the temperature being a stark Midwest 30 degrees and a little rainy. It did not shake me from finishing my first 9 holes with my dad. I loved the game, I was hooked. Throughout high school 2 of my best friends were a part of the golf team. Both years they made the state round in cape Girardeau Missouri and both years I attended and walked the course with them. I've competed in 20+ tournaments during high school and college and continue to compete since I moved here to eagle county. Golf is an integral part of my life and helped teach me a lot about life and people. I hope to pass this passion to our program.
